Anna commenced her legal career working as a law clerk in a small Family and Criminal law firm in Adelaide in 2004 and following admission starting practicing in Family law. In 2005, Anna moved to Port Augusta in regional South Australia to work as a Criminal and family lawyer with the Aboriginal Legal Rights Movement in Port Augusta. Working for ALRM, Anna represented Indigenous clients on the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara lands Magistrates Court Circuit as well in the Port Augusta, Whyalla, Leigh Creek and Port Pirie Magistrates Court which developed an enduring love for working regionally and remotely and a strong commitment to working alongside and advocating for Aboriginal people negotiating the Criminal Justice system. 

In 2007 Anna moved to Alice Springs to take up a position with the Central Australian Legal Aid Service (as it then was) as a Criminal Lawyer and she has since made her home in Alice Springs. Since 2007 Anna remained with CAALAS, now the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA), travelling to Central Australian and Barkly communities to represent clients in Criminal matters in the Local Court Community Circuits, Alice Springs, Tennant Creek and in the Northern Territory Supreme Court. Anna was the Criminal Practice Manager at CAALAS for approximately 4 years and since April 2018 she has been the Regional Managing solicitor of the Southern Region NAAJA office.
